It’s a Winlet – Window and Glass Robot

The Winlet Glass Robot is the next generation in glass handling technology from Danish
manufacturer GMV.

Available in both a 350 and 575 kg configuration the Winlet glass robot has the ability to significantly increase productivity and profitability in any business specialising in glass manufacture, installation or transportation .

Background: GSV Handling have been manufacturing glass robots for over 23 years, with the current Winlet 350 released in Europe in 2008. The culmination of 2 decades research and development the Winlet glass robots are easy to operate, feature the latest in load management technology and meet the most stringent OH&S requirements.

Profit from a Winlet : If you are in the Glass Industry you will be well aware how labour intensive the handling of glass and windows can be, particularly as windows are getting larger and double glazing is more prevalent.

A Winlet will significantly reduce the labour involved with glass handling, speed up loading, unloading and placement as well as virtually eliminating on site damage and associated costs.

Adding to its appeal the Winlet can also be used to carry and place other materials such as Granite, Concrete, Wooden Plates, Tiles, Plasterboards, Steel Plates and Fire Doors.

Features of the Winlet Glass Robot:

  • 35okg and 575kg capacity
  • All terrain drive
  • Telescopic boom
  • Extreme smooth placement controls
  • Infinitely variable speed controls
  • 250kg side carry capacity
  • 360 degree continual rotation
  • Intelligent load monitoring system

The ALL TERRAIN DRIVE on the Winlet enables it to be used with confidence indoors and outdoors, the powerful front wheel dive making it ideal for use on problematic worksites.

All Winlet’s are also fitted standard with easy to operate OUTRIGGERS, for those rare occasions when they may be required due to ground subsidence or extremely undulating terrain.

The dual ALL TERRAIN DRIVE wheels also significantly lowers the single point load rating when fully laden, which can be a big advantage when driving the Winlet across suspended floors, tiles or other surfaces where excessive loads can cause damage.

Winlet’s Industry leading PLACEMENT CONTROLS are designed so you can be next to the glass or window you are placing with our wired remote, which features an infinitely variable speed control for the finest and most accurate placements.

Our TELESCOPIC BOOM is an essential part of these controls allowing you to drive up to the frontage, and telescope out for final placement, also controlled from our remote. Contrast this to units without a telescope that require you to drive in and position glass from jerky rear drive controls that can be over 1.5 metres from your work area.

The Winlet 350 features a 200kg SIDE CARRY CAPACITY and a 730mm transport width with All Terrain Drive, enabling the unit to easily transport heavy glass and windows through a standard door. The new 575 has a 275 side carry capacity and 890mm transport width for dual door access.

The Winlet also has a CONTINUAL 360 DEGREE ROTATION, of its load without risk of damage to the vacuum hoses, and a manual side shift for final left and right placement.

The Winlet not only performs with distinction but is also fitted with the latest in INTELLIGENT LOAD MONITORING Systems that ensure the operators are safe and the load is not damaged. When the Winlet reaches a 90% capacity the overload light will flash, reminding you the unit is close to its maximum load. If maximum load is reached, the unit will cease to operate, except for functions that enable you to retract or lower the load you are transporting.

Additionally our POWERFUL VACUUM SUCTION (an integrated 2 circuit system) is designed so that no matter what the machine status, even complete power failure, your load will continue to be held meaning the load, and operators are not at risk.
